Born in Santa Maria on California's Central Coast, Sierra's affinity of the arts began in Kindergarten when she performed as 'Snow White' in her first play. Raised by a single mother, Sierra acted in a plethora of school plays through her elementary and high school years while also competing in both softball and basketball. On top of her theater involvement, year round athletic schedule and advanced placement classes, Sierra found time to serve as Class President for 3 years during high school. After high school, Sierra did not have the funds to attend a 4 year university so she quickly found work and began attending Cuesta Community College. It was in Cuesta College's Drama department where she received her most prominent acting and theater training. Sierra was trained in the Meisner technique and performed in over ten musicals, plays, and original avant garde pieces in a two year period. Sierra transferred to the University of California, Irvine. She worked full time at her night job to fund her education and doubled up on her school load. After just a year and a half, Sierra graduated from UCI with degrees in both Drama and Political Science.
